Competency 3:

Advance Human Rights and Social, Economic, and Environmental Justice

This artifact is one of the student intern's journal entry discussing a brainstorming event held by the agency's IT department. The meeting was an informative event for the student. It provided the platform for the student to learn how to demonstrate Competency 3, by engaging in advanced economic justice on a macro level inside the agency, (Council on Social Work Education, 2015). 

Here you have an example of the data collected and analyzed for one of the projects the student is working on in close collaboration with supervisors. Due to confidentiality purposes, project details are withheld. However, the project details entail assisting a population of disenfranchised individuals to overcome current obstacles and barriers faced. This artifact is an example of how social workers may demonstrate a macro approach of Comptency 3: Advance Human Rights and Social, Economic, and Environmental Justice, (Council on Social Work Education, 2015).
