Competency 9: Evaluate Practice with Individuals, Families, Groups, Organizations, and Communities

This artifact was the created spreadsheet used to determine and assess any gaps in departmental funding opportunities. The assessment was also used later during the student's internship as a means of evaluating of services being provided by the university SGDO. This type of evaluation demonstrates the student's ability and willingness to adhere to CSWE's Core Competency 9: Evaluate Practice with Individuals, Families, Groups, and Organizations (2015), by effectively gathering information and using it as a means to evaluate already existing systems, as a way to better understand how to help change them, or manage them efficiently in future placements.

This artifact is a survey tool created by the student using an online survey creating platform used by the interning university. The survey was created to establish a needs assessment. This needs assessment would then be used as a way to determine and evaluate the already existing internal grant awardee application process as a whole. The survey was crafted to gather information from past awardees on the process. This data would then be used as a means to evaluate the current process as it stands. By using this survey as a tool in their multi-faceted approach to implementing a macro-level change the student effectively demonstrated their ability and willingness to adhere to CSWE's Core Competency 9 (2015).
