Competency 1: 

The student intern had to demonstrate ethical and professional behavior in all their work throughout the entire fieldwork experience. 

​More specifically, the student was involved with a university Institutional Review Board (IRB). Being involved with this required adhering to guidelines established by CITI ethical guidelines. Doing so demonstrates the student's dedication to acting ethically, while presenting themselves professionally, in accordance with the Council on Social Work Education's Standards and Competency 1: Demonstrate Ethical and Professional Behavior, (Council on Social Work Education, 2015).
